Ones to watch: Frida, Elin and Josefine – FEJClothes
We Unite had a small chat with the three Swedish girls from Malmö, Frida, Elin and Josefine, about their t-shirt company FEJClothes, music and great days…
Girls, tell us about about your company, FEJClothes…
FEJ is put together by our first letters in our given names, but we also wanted the name to have a broader meaning and therefore we added the c in clothes, FEJC (pronounced fake) as to question today’s clothing industry to what is fake and what is not…
How did you all meet?
The three of us met and became good friends in the spring of 2008. It all started when Elin and Josefine took a course in sustainable design at Malmö University and shortly after we started to hang out and realized that we had a lot in common. We all had different creative ideas and noticed that we worked well as a group and at the same time had a lot of fun while doing it, and one sunny day we decided to do something about it.
We believe that in order to achieve good results it requires a balance of seriousness and humour and that nothing comes without the other. We didn’t plan to meet each other and none of us really knew what we wanted to do, it all became clear once we got to know one another.
This is probably how it works in most cases, creative souls come together and the ideas starts flowing…
Tell us 3 things to make a good day according to you…
Elin: Wake up in a new city, have good coffee in the morning and beer in the evening. But it doesn’t matter if it’s good… Haha…
Frida: Good coffee, good food and some fun!
Josefine: When you don’t have to get up early, music and surprising coincidences… And to know that you can sleep that extra hour in the morning and don’t have an early appointment , that’s nice!
Elin: Yeah, and to avoid public transportation in the mornings…
Frida: Music! I forgot Music… I need music every day, without it – you can’t create!
Elin: … And it should be played loud!
